An autumn afternoon in the Weerribben
Behind my house opens up a vast landscape of the Weerribben, where reeds and trees form a natural carpet that moves with the seasons. On this particular autumn afternoon, I was struck by an image of pure beauty: reeds gently swaying in the wind, their feathery tops caught in the warm, golden light of the setting sun.
In the background, trees and bushes stand out like blurred silhouettes, blurred by the evening dew that hangs over the landscape like a soft veil. It is that special hour when day turns into evening, when the light takes on a magical quality that transforms everything. The dewdrops on the reeds sparkle like tiny diamonds, each culm a work of art in itself.
This is the Weerribben at its finest: mysterious, serene and full of that indescribable magic that only nature can create. A moment when time seems to stand still and you become aware of the silent splendour taking place right behind your own front door.
