Géza Jenő Ferenc Vastagh (1866 - 1919) was a Hungarian painter specialising in animals.
The tiger in this artwork was created by him.
The tropical and flowery landscape in the foreground and background of this artwork is a collage of details from paintings by French painter Henri Rousseau (1844 - 1910).
There is very little chance that Géza and Henri ever met, at least I was able to introduce their artworks to each other.
