Realistic acrylic painting of a galloping horse

by Ljupka Kareska

A realistic painting of a horse at a gallop. The horse, positioned centrally but leaning to the right, has a rich golden-brown coat with steel-blue patches highlighting his muscular build. His mane flows dramatically backwards, from dark brown to black with subtle blue highlights, creating a sense of rapid movement. The horse's large, expressive eye is black with a bright white reflection, adding life to his gaze. His ears are erect, adding to an alert expression. The pink nostril adds a delicate detail to the otherwise robust look. The background consists of a textured grey surface with gold paint splashes, scratches and abstract brushstrokes, adding to the dynamic feel of the artwork. These elements create a circular pattern around the horse, with vertical stripes adding depth and movement. White and gold splashes further accentuate the energetic composition. The lighting is soft and diffuse, casting soft shadows that emphasise the three-dimensional quality of the horse's form. The overall colour palette includes warm browns, cool blues, metallic gold, soft rose tones and various greys, all enhanced by high contrast and moderate saturation. This striking combination creates a vivid representation of this powerful and graceful animal, capturing both the beauty and power of galloping.
