The Gullfoss is a waterfall in the Hvítá (White River) in southern Iceland and is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland.
The Hvítá is a glacier river that is also fed by rain.
The waterfall lies about 10 km east of Geysir.
The water crashing into the gorge almost always causes a large amount of drifting water which, when the sun shines on it, causes beautiful rainbows. The Gullfoss owes its name to this: Golden Waterfall.
Landscape photographer and drone pilot Koen Henderickx will gladly take you on a discovery of the most beautiful places, both close by or a little further away.
His mission is to introduce people to the beauty of nature, from water, the land or in the sky via drones.
