The head of the ginger tom cat is a magnificent sight to behold. The fur is a warm, reddish-orange hue that shimmers in the light. The fur is thick and luxurious, almost like velvet to the touch, and it's clear that the cat spends a great deal of time grooming himself. The eyes are a dep amber and they're fixed on the viewer, as if the cat is trying to communicate something important. The expression on the cat's face is one of deep contemplation, as if the cat is trying to understand something complex. The nose is small and pink, and the whiskers are long and white, you can imagine themtwitching ever so slightly. The ears are perked up as if the cat is listening for any sounds that might be of interest. The head is well-proportioned and symmetrical, with a regal bearing that suggests the cat knows exactly how beautiful and majestic he is. The eyes, in particular, are the most striking aspect of the head. They're large and bright, and they seem to be full of wisdom and knowledge. It's as if the cat is inviting the viewer to come closer, to share in his secrets and to learn something new.
This is a photo portrait of Rafe the ginger tom cat who spends a great deal of time hanging around in our garden. We have no idea who he belongs to, but he bumbles along with our 15 (neutered) cats with only the occasional disagreement. He is a lovely cat and obviously domesticated but has decided our cat garden is not a bad place to hang out. As you can see, he looks very comfortable and as if he belongs in place, as he looks directly at the viewer with his paws neatly folded under him.
