About ‘RAINY DAY IN SUMMER’ by Angelique van den Boer

Who doesn't love drying their clothes outside in summer? Dutch summers generally lend themselves well to this. But very occasionally, summers in the Netherlands can also be wet.

Like on this day, here you see a denim skirt hanging out to dry nicely in the sun. Until suddenly a heavy downpour came over it. You can see the rain splashing down in the background and dripping along the frayed edges of the skirt.

The wet raining sunglasses - which my daughter put in for fun - made the picture even more fun. An incredibly fun, crazy and amusing image it turned out to be.

The Dutch are known for whining about the weather and that's why this sculpture. We should be able to keep laughing about the Dutch weather.

The black and white image gives the image just a little more that little 'humorous' drama.

A nice work for on the wall, if you like humour.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
