About the artwork
"Quiet panorama: Looking through the dandelion" is a macro photo of the fluff attached to a fluff ball of a dandelion. Droplets hang and lie on and from this ball of fluff. Because a shallow depth of field was chosen, only a small part of the drops and fluff are in focus. This softens the image and gives it a dreamy, calm look. It also creates a sense of depth in the work. The further a drop or fluff is from the focus point, the fainter it becomes. The focal point in this picture is roughly at the middle fluff (where the stem turns into the fluffy part). Because the photo was taken through a hole (where some of the fluff was already gone), you can still see vague white shadows of the front fluff in the foreground. This work has been cropped to panorama size (1:2). It looks great above your bed in the bedroom, in the waiting room as wall decoration or in the meeting room (for business).
