I was on my way to photograph a nearby woodland area where I hoped to find fog when I came past this beautiful calm scene with a small stream and elegant birch and willow trees. I was immediately captivated by the serene atmosphere and the painterly quality of this quiet landscape due to some lingering fog behind the trees. This remains a favorite image, even though at the time I was a tiny bit frustrated that I only had one fixed lens with me. In hindsight this must have been a good thing, because it worked out well
