About ‘Purple red leaf with grain against black and white background | Nature photography, Abstract’ by Merlijn Arina Photography
Towards the end of autumn, I went into the forest with my camera to take some creative and abstract photos. With the sun setting low, the colours of this leaf, purple and bright red, came out beautifully. The background caused some distraction in terms of colour, so I deliberately kept it black and white in post-processing.

I love fresh outdoor air, remote areas, mountains and the tranquility of nature and all these things I try to capture with my camera. When I am in nature, I feel alive and rich. I am always curious about new beautiful places and love discovering patterns, shapes and things that are just a little bit different. Or special. Or crazy. And to make sure it becomes a beautiful picture is one of the most fun things there is!
