Puffins in breeding colonies are hardly shy and sometimes walk right next to you. This, of course, gives you the wonderful feeling of being completely absorbed in nature. You can't be any closer. And that gives me a magical feeling.
In this portrait you can clearly see the beautiful details and colors in the face of the Puffin. Because this bird was so close to me I could get a beautiful depth of field in my photo with a bokeh background. A dreamy image of a bird that looks like it came from a child's dream.
The few hours I spent on the Hornoya nesting island in Norway I enjoyed the thousands of seabirds nonstop. At first I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to look or photograph. Only after two hours did I settle down a bit to take some more time for the photos that I love to hang on my wall at home. Enjoying the memories of this special trip.
