About ‘Project Noonlight – Poppies #2’ by Olga Don Photography

In this work – part of the Noonlight series – you see a field of poppies bathed in warm evening light. The bright red flowers almost seem to glow against the soft golden-yellow background, whilst the curved stems and closed buds add a sense of movement and fragility.

Among the flowers, you’ll discover small details that only become apparent later: the fine hairs on the stems, a dark heart hidden within a flower, and the transparency of the petals through which the sunlight filters.

The inspiration for this sculpture came from a moment when everything came together: wind, light and colour. The poppy has something ephemeral and fragile about it, yet at the same time something powerful because of its vivid presence in the landscape. I wanted to make that contrast tangible.

The atmosphere is warm, dreamy and intensely vibrant. For me, this work is about freedom, summer and the fleeting yet intense nature of beauty. The image invites you to pause for a moment in a world that often moves too fast.

The work was created using natural backlighting and a shallow depth of field, causing parts to blur into almost painterly swathes of colour. In post-processing, warmth and contrast were enhanced to deepen the cinematic feel.

In an interior, this work brings energy, warmth and a natural elegance. It forms a powerful splash of colour and suits both modern and atmospheric, organic spaces.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
