Portrait of a woman in Pop Art Style.
This artwork is a playful digital painting in graying pastel colors. A warm light green-gray tinge with shades of purple and eggplant, are interspersed with bright white. The painting is playful, but also exudes tranquility through the use of color. Just as the downcast eyes of the portrayed woman bring this tranquility with them. The hearts and lines around the portrait are intuitively placed and create a completely contemporary modern image.
The portrait has always been my favorite subject. Whether I paint with India ink on watercolor paper, with acrylic on canvas, or with digital brushes in Photoshop. The portrait exudes an appeal that to me can't be compared to anything else.
Art and painting is an exploration for me. I am always focused on experimenting, trying new techniques. In this work I deliberately tried to remain very playful. Not perfection, but playfulness. Although this work is not officially a collage, it does have something of the playful style of collages, giving it a street art vibe as well. I expect to see this work in a more urban-focused home, or just in a very clean interior. But of course I am mega curious to see how this work will shine in your interior.
