During my travels through Italy, I visited many cities and markets. This photo was taken in Verona, a city near Venice where countless Venetian masks are sold. I enjoyed capturing the masks at the stalls. In the foreground is a mask with an almost eerie smile, as if it has something sinister in mind. It is precisely this mysterious aura that makes this mask so intriguing, bringing it into sharp focus, while the other masks remain faintly in the background. I made the bright red and orange tones stand out against the dark, calm colours, so this work can make a powerful statement in your interior.

This picture captures the beauty and mystery of Venetian masks. The foreground shows a striking mask, with an almost sinister smile and richly detailed decorations in red, gold and black.
