This work shows a close-up of a Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis). Due to the shape of its mouth, this species is also known as Hooked-lip Rhinoceros. The animal was photographed at short distance from a low vantage point, making the massive animal seem to tower above you. This enhances the imposing nature of this giant. The Rhinoceros stands out well against a blurred background. The photo was taken in Namibia just after sunset in the so-called blue hour.
