A colourful watercolour painting of the iconic Portland Head Light lighthouse in the US state of Maine on the east coast of the United States of America, USA. This historic lighthouse is located on a headland at the entrance to Portland Harbour in Casco Bay. The lighthouse dates back to 1791 and is the oldest lighthouse in the province of Maine. The house next to the lighthouse 'where the lighthouse keeper used to stay' has now become a maritime museum as part of the Fort Williams Park. The painting, painted in A5 format, depicts architecture and a landscape on the North Atlantic Ocean during summer with soft pastel colours, a blue sky with light clouds, a calm sea and a rocky coast.
