The Pontsteiger, also known as the Pontsteiger building, is a residential tower in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. The design by Arons and Gelauff Architects was chosen as the winning design in 2007, and despite the credit crisis was built almost according to the design in 2015. The ferry pier building is part of the Houthavens area development, and is therefore located on the IJ where the ferry, locally known as the ferry pier, departs for the NDSM site and the Distelweg.
The construction of the 92 meter high building started in February 2015, the expected completion date was then the end of 2017. As a result, the building has become the tallest residential building in Amsterdam.
