This blue tit has a wondering look after deciding to enter the cold water. Very slowly he sinks in a little and carefully starts washing himself. Would this be in summer then see the exuberance and gluttony to get himself into the water as much as possible. In the colder months, however, this is a mandatory outing for him. Of all the birds that like to wash themselves, the Blue Tit is the great consumer and epicurean.
What I personally like about photography is the continuous development of how you see things and how you would like to capture them. But also WHAT you like to capture.
Like many, I started out capturing landscapes. However, after a year or two this started to bore me. Landscape has no movement, no dynamics and is quite easy to capture. So I decided to take up macro photography and this form of photography too, I eventually traded in for photographing animals. Birds, squirrels, mice, foxes etc etc etc, are sometimes quite a task to capture. And because of this right mega interesting. They are constantly moving and alert. You capture them in their own territory. So as a photographer, you have to be very still, sometimes sneak up and above all, time them well. Then the art of photography, comes into its own.
This photo would do well in a warm interior, for the nice contrast with this cold shot.
