Croatia's Plitvice Lakes National Park is an amazingly beautiful nature reserve where you can spend all day (or more). Seven lakes that merge into each other by means of height differences and numerous large and small waterfalls provide breathtaking views. The colour of the water ranges from green to turquoise and it is crystal clear. You can see the fish swimming metres deep. Along the lakes are hiking trails. I found the fallen tree lying just below the surface of the water a nice image to photograph. In the background, you can just see the wave of the tourist boat that had just passed by.
