An adaptation of the circa 1740 painting "A Woman with a Dog" ("Pitocchetto") by Italian painter Giacomo Ceruti. The portraits of the dog and the woman are partly replaced by details from the painting "Passion Flowers" (1812) by Austrian artist Ferdinand Bauer.
