The picture shows a close-up of a pink iris flower, also known as an iris. The delicate, slightly wavy petals unfurl in different shades of pink, interspersed with fine lines and structures that emphasise the natural shape of the plant. The composition focuses on the organic movement of the flower - almost like a frozen moment in a dance.
The inspiration for this picture came from observing how light refracts on the semi-transparent petals. I was particularly interested in the graphic quality of the iris - its clear lines, which appear almost architectural, and at the same time its fragile surface. The aim was to visualise these contrasts.
The atmosphere I want to create with this work is calm, but not static. It is about a quiet dynamic - a picture that is not loud, but still has a presence.
In interior design, this work acts as an elegant accent. Especially in modern, minimalist rooms, it brings a subtle colourfulness and an organic design language that is both calming and inspiring.
