Pink Impressionist Painting: Beach under a Starry Sky Full of Dreams by Surreal Media

The first thing I notice every time I look at this work are the four thick, almost three-dimensional stars hanging above the bay, each built up from layers of paint that you can almost touch, alongside a soft waxing moon that watches peacefully over the rolling green hills. Beneath that swirling sky lies a pink beach full of tiny figures stretched out beneath blue-and-white-striped parasols, and if you look closely, you can see how each figure has been depicted slightly differently, with its own posture and its own spot in the sand. I thought of the way a summer’s evening by the sea can make everything feel all at once: playful, calm and a little magical, and I wanted to capture that feeling in a bay where the water is strewn with golden stardust and pink sailing boats glide through it almost silently. The atmosphere is lively and warm, with colours that rub against one another without clashing: the soft pink of the sand, the deep turquoise of the sea and the radiant yellow of the stars and stardust. That contrast gives the work energy, but also something to lose yourself in; every time you look at it again, you discover a new detail. It is a digital artwork, created to resemble thick, tactile layers of paint with texture, as seen in Post-Impressionist paintings with pronounced, visible brushstrokes. In a living room or dining room, this painting brings a holiday feeling that never fades, and for those who love travelling, walks on the beach under a starry sky, or simply a touch of playfulness in the home, this is a piece that brings a smile to your face time and time again. It can also work surprisingly well in an office, as a small window onto an evening full of colour and tranquillity.
