About the artwork
The Pilot Tender underway on the Nieuwe Waterweg.

On the horizon a sailboat and many seagulls fishing.
The pilot boats are always spectacular to photograph.
The pilot boats have an important task in the port of Rotterdam. They bring and take the pilot to and from the ship. The ships that enter the port of Rotterdam are safely guided to their berth in the port.
The ships are of course also neatly guided out of the port and safely resume their journey across the North Sea.
Raw and the port as it is, the people who work there. I like to photograph the images I see there because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
