The square image depicts the petals of a pink Dahlia. The petals were photographed at close range with a macro lens, 60mm. The light pink color of the flower radiates softness and the shadows give a nice contrast and depth to the photo. It has become an abstract image because not the whole flower is in the picture.
I wanted to create an image that radiates tranquility and is nice to look at. I also think it's important that the image can be combined with other images, perhaps a resting point between other images in a wall collage. And it doesn't necessarily have to be printed mega large.
The image can also be hung on a balcony, in a garden house/serre etc. to give more atmosphere to the lounge area. The image can also hang beautifully in a baby or children's room.
The color pink somehow always draws my attention. Is this perhaps a feminine thing or do you have that too?
