"Perishable and fragile: A lantern of a lantern plant" is a photo of a lantern of a lantern plant that has almost perished. Because the "skin" of the lantern is almost off, you can clearly see the beautiful vein structure, which has been exposed.
This little lantern lies on a reflective surface, so that the lantern, on its head, can be seen again (more blurred) in the ground surface. The background of this photo has a dark colour. This makes the little lantern, still partly its orange-brownish colour, stand out well, nicely detached from the background.
When taking this photo, I chose the settings of my camera so that I created a slight depth of field in this photo. If you zoom in on the work, you can see that the side of the lantern that is on the viewer's side is sharp, from this part the lantern gradually fades. This creates a sense of depth as you can see. It also creates a calmer image.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the kitchen, dining room or just above the sofa! (Also of course beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!)
