The Cimetière du Père-Lachaise is the largest cemetery in Paris. It is located on and around the Champ-l'Évêque hill in the 20th arrondissement near the Père Lachaise metro station.
With more than three million visitors a year, Père-Lachaise is the most visited cemetery in the world.
Today, the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise has 69,000 tombstones. There are 5300 trees.
There are a lot of gravestones in serious decay and I try to photograph them all at random every week.
