About ‘Pentagon park’ by Maaike Coers

The Pentagon Park is a park in the Dutch town of Zaandam in the municipality of Zaanstad, located south of the built-up area. The park is bordered by the Thorbeckeweg in the north, sports park Poelenburg in the east, the Noorder IJ- and Zeedijk in the south and Wibautstraat in the west.

The park was constructed in the 1960s as a recreational park, also a buffer between two residential areas and an industrial area (Achtersluispolder). In the park there is a large lake, the Beundersbraak, which is said to have been created by a breach in the dike of the Noorder IJ- and Zeedijk. There are three ditches and in the pond two small islands (12mx40m and 8mx7m). Initially, the park was managed in a traditional way, but since a few decades there is a 'natural' management.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
