I took this photo at Playa Bejuca in Esterillos, Costa Rica.
I spent quite a bit of time on that beach there.
The waves there were fantastic and pelicans were constantly flying by.
It's such a beautiful sight to watch them skim past just above the waves, taking advantage of the wind along the coast.
It was also a challenge for me to capture the pelicans at the right moment.
I wanted to take a picture with a nice wave about to fall over with some pelicans flying past.
I think I succeeded quite well with this photo.
The fact that the seawater in the foreground is also flowing nicely created nice layers in the photo.
