Piepers coats painting
I find the entire process of peeling potatoes beautiful, which is why this series of successive activities is visually elaborated in my painting. From picking up the potatoes to walking away to the stove with the peeled potatoes in the pan.
Each stroke, color choice and technique reflects the artist's individual expression, setting the painting apart.
All original works are conventionally hand-painted: nothing is digital or printed.
The paintings are constructed in many layers of acrylic paint. This layering in combination with the use of flat brushes creates beautiful and characteristic touches, allowing the painting to be viewed and interpreted in different ways. It contributes to the visual richness and complexity of the work.
No black is used in the paintings. Without black everything is less harsh and looks calmer. The acrylic paint dries matt and is therefore easier on the eye, allowing all details to be fully appreciated.
The colours are specially mixed for each painting and although this is often time-consuming, it is all about the end result.
