Because it had frozen heavily during the night, the ice had formed in a short time, creating beautiful patterns in the ice. The pink sky just before sunrise also reflected beautifully in the ice. This photo was taken in the Hatertse and Overasseltse fens, near Nijmegen, Netherlands.
