This photo was taken on Bonaire. The yellow-shouldered amazon, called the lora on Bonaire, is a parrot that lives in the wild on the island. Officially, the bird has a protected status. If the lora knows that food can be found somewhere, like in this backyard, it shows up there very regularly and no longer seems to be a protected bird at all.
