Suddenly she was there on the other side of the street near Parc Luxembourg. I took a picture and tried to make something beautiful out of it. It took a very long time for me to be satisfied with it, but this must be it. The massive wooden big door makes her look a little smaller than she is. I edited the photo digitally. That was quite a hassle. A lot of smearing and polishing. The trick is to edit it digitally in such a way that the whole clinical word digital is immediately forgotten when you see the work. At my exhibitions many people don't believe I was able to do it that way and I take that as a nice compliment.
Making images, that's what I do. I draw, design and photograph me an accident and make what I like. It goes all the way. Also because everything goes wrong. That sometimes results in surprising new things. The most important thing is that I enjoy it anyway. I work.. Read more…
