About ‘Paragliding along the Moselle’ by Antwan Janssen

One of the most beautiful vantage points on the Moselle can be found near the small town of Bremm. The Moselle makes a bend here and right at this bend is the steepest vineyard in the region, the Calmont. So with gradients of up to 68%, this is really steep. You can hike up from Bremm but this hike of only 3km takes about 2 hours. You can also drive up by car, park there and then walk for half an hour to the Gipfelkreuz from where you have a beautiful view of the Moselle and the surrounding landscape. The spot at the Gipfelkreuz is also used by paragliders as a starting point for their flights. When we were there, a few daredevils just jumped off the mountain. I'm not much of a hero myself but I do think it is magnificent to paraglide here.
