From the heights of Bhuj, the view stretches as far as the eye can see of this Gujarati town, a mix of urban development and arid landscapes. The dirt road winds its way through dry vegetation and cacti, providing a striking contrast to the clear sky. To the right, an ancient fortress, a testament to local history, stands on a green hill, a reminder of the region's strategic importance over the centuries. Bhuj is known for its cultural heritage, its palaces and temples, but also for its renowned textile crafts. This region of Kutch, marked by drought and semi-desert landscapes, fascinates by its harmony between nature and human constructions. From these heights, you can feel the dynamism of the city below, with its white houses and modern infrastructure, while remaining immersed in a timeless atmosphere. It's an ideal spot from which to watch the sunrise or sunset and soak up the history of Bhuj.
