In the heart of the Canary Islands, at the impressive height of 2717 metres, I captured an extraordinary moment. The panorama from the Alto de Guajara offers an unforgettable view of the majestic Pico de Teide, which rises proudly into the azure blue sky and, at 3718 metres, is the highest peak in Spain.
The Teide National Park stretches out before my eyes in all its splendour. The landscape is characterised by barren rocks and unique volcanic formations, which appear particularly striking in the clear air of the high altitude. The colours are vibrant and rich in contrast: the deep black lava rock, the rich brown of the rocks and the bright blue of the sky merge to create a breathtaking sight.
The sun's rays bathe the scenery in a warm, golden light, making the contours of the landscape appear softer and more dramatic at the same time. The Pico de Teide towers majestically and aloof above everything, a symbol of the unbridled power and beauty of nature. The volcano, surrounded by a rugged yet fascinating landscape, tells the story of fire and ice, of the elemental forces that have shaped this island.
This moment is a testimony to the eternal beauty and majesty of nature. The silence and vastness of the Teide National Park allow you to take a deep breath and absorb the magic of the moment. It is a moment of reflection and awe, an experience that touches the soul and reflects the grandeur and splendour of our earth in its purest form.
