On a bright October day, when the sun was golden over the peaks of the Allgäu Alps, I found myself at the foot of the Kegelkopf, a majestic mountain with a height of 1959 metres. The air was clear and filled with a breath of autumnal freshness, while the panorama that spread out before me captivated me.
My gaze swept over the gentle hills and rocky ridges that stretched up to the imposing Höfats, a proud 2259 metres high. The slanting afternoon sun played a magical game with light and shadow, emphasising the contours of the mountains and transforming the landscape into an enchanting painting.
The south-west side of the Höfats was embraced by this warm light and bathed in a fairytale-like scene. The steep rock faces shone like polished gold, while the shady gorges and valleys seemed to harbour a secret.
In the midst of this natural splendour, I felt like a tiny part of an overwhelming universe. The peace and serenity of the mountains captured my heart and I could feel the beauty and majesty of nature in its purest form.
It was a moment of connection with the world around me, a moment of gratitude for the opportunity to experience such wonders. And as I held my self-made photograph, I knew that this image was not only a reflection of the landscape, but also a reminder of the power and beauty of nature that continues to enchant us.
