Between Callantsoog and Bergen aan Zee, in the tip of North Holland, lies the coastal town of Petten. Petten is known for the Hondsbossche Zeewering. This is a dike on the spot where a storm surge broke through the original dunes in the Middle Ages. You can also climb the Panorama Dune in Petten and view a special work of art on the beach: the Petten Palm Village.
