Palendorp Petten at sunset. The Palendorp is a monument symbolising an old village that disappeared completely into the sea from 1792. This fine work of art consists of 160 poles ranging from six to 12 metres high. The poles are in the shape of 10 houses and a church.
By using a small aperture, the setting sun takes on a star shape, even when reflected in the sea, which lies smooth and fairy-like waiting for the night by using a long shutter speed.
