About "Palendorp Petten - Sand, wood and sky (black and white)"

About the artwork

On the coast of Petten, 160 wooden poles stand like sturdy sentinels in the sand. They form the silhouette of ten houses and a church - a reminder of the old village 'Petten bi der Sipe', which existed since 1300 but was swallowed by the sea from 1792 onwards. The work of art moves with the times: due to erosion, the sand will disappear and the poles will rise further and further into the water.

I photographed the Palendorp monument on a sunny afternoon. With my feet in the sand and the wind in my hair. What struck me was the play of rhythm, space and light. The composition is simple but powerful: repetition, lines and perspective.

In this black-and-white edit, the emphasis is on structure and light. The wood shows its character, the shadows are soft, the sky layered but not dominant. No colour to distract - just shape, texture and tone.

An image that brings calm. For those who love simplicity and rhythm. For those who see how much power lies in a quiet, clear composition.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
