About the artwork

No animal in the Netherlands more mysterious than the owl. Often hidden during the day. At dusk and night, a silent flyer and hunter who knows how to catch its prey with superior eyes and ears - and then I almost forget to praise its talons, apt at hunting, at rest a firm anchor on the branch.

This owl waits in the moonlight for its prey. Did you make a sound? He looks back at you. Like a human, his eyes sit side by side, allowing him to see depth well. Because those eyes are so big, he cannot turn them left and right. Instead, he has 14 vertebrae in his neck, so he can turn his head 270°. The little night light is amplified by the reflective layer behind his retina. Sit still, and you can admire him a bit longer.

This work is drawn with the help of AI in the style of the continuous line, where the artist puts his pen on the paper just once, and only takes it off when the drawing is finished.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
