The Buiten Bantammerstraat is one of the two streets that cross the Waalseiland and connect the Prins Hendrik quay with the Binnenkant. The Waalseiland was built in 1634 from the IJ. The Oosterdok is now on the northeast side, and the Waalseilandsgracht on the southwest side.
The photo is executed in black and white and therefore gives it an artistic timeless look. Details are hereby emphasized in a beautiful way. Because color is missing, this can no longer give distraction. Composition, shapes, lines, fine gray nuances, structures and contrast ensure that this cityscape is a feast for the eyes and never bores.
