About the artwork

Utrecht's Oudegracht canal is one of the most characteristic and enchanting locations in the Netherlands. This picturesque canal traverses the historic city centre and is a symbol of Utrecht's rich history and unique charm.

The Oudegracht was originally dug in the 12th century as part of Utrecht's city wall. What makes this canal so special is that it is surrounded on both sides by charming yards, narrow wharf cellars that were once used for storage and now serve as atmospheric restaurants, shops and homes. The wharves contribute to the unique atmosphere of Oudegracht and create an idyllic image of Dutch architecture.

Along Oudegracht, you will also find historic buildings, bridges and trees that provide a beautiful backdrop for a stroll along the water. The Dom tower, the famous symbol of Utrecht, rises majestically at the end of the canal and offers an impressive view of the city.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
