Just before sunrise, we take a small boat out on a vast lake in central Sweden in search of ospreys. It is windless, the sky is starting to turn red in the east and thin wisps of mist float low above the water. In the distance, we hear the call of an osprey, which is answered on the other side of the lake.
Just after the sun has risen and the light over the lake becomes increasingly beautiful, the first ospreys appear. After several unsuccessful attempts, an osprey manages to catch its first fish. I manage to capture that moment in a couple of pictures's, with this one being the best.
A better start to the morning could hardly be imagined
