Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Oslo the city of the troll’ by Quin van Saane

Oslo is Norway's vibrant capital, located on the edge of the Oslofjord. The city is known for its modern architecture, green parks and vibrant culture. But besides these modern aspects, Oslo is also known for its rich mythology and folklore, especially its trolls. Trolls are a central part of Norwegian folklore and they are often depicted as mysterious, giant creatures living in the mountains and forests of Norway. Although trolls are often portrayed as clumsy, evil creatures, they are also regarded in Norwegian culture as protectors of nature and guardians of ancient traditions. In Oslo, you will find many references to these trolls, from statues and paintings to toys and souvenirs. Visitors can participate in tours and troll hunts to learn more about these fascinating mythological creatures. But trolls are not just limited to folklore and tourism, they also have symbolic significance for Norwegian society. Trolls are often seen as a symbol of preserving traditional values and respecting nature, two important values deeply rooted in Norwegian culture.
