When I point my camera at the subtle trails that sand and water create together, I experience how nature forms its own abstract paintings. This work was born out of my fascination with the hidden structures that are visible for only a few moments before they are erased by a new wave. As I captured this moment, I felt the power of impermanence and the beauty of the temporary.
The atmosphere evoked by this work is both intimate and grand. The organic lines and fibrous patterns seem to move, as if whispering about the constant cycle of creation and disappearance. It evokes a meditative calm, but at the same time a sense of dynamism and energy.
In its abstraction, this work ties in with movements such as Art Informel and lyrical abstraction, in which artists such as Hans Hartung and Antoni Tàpies focused on the power of texture and movement. Like them, I seek a balance between chance and intention, between nature and imagination.
What makes this work special to hang on the wall is the way it keeps surprising. Every glance reveals new details, new layers of meaning. It is not just a photograph, but a window into the poetry of nature. Anyone who brings this work into their home is choosing a timeless piece that brings calm, depth and inspiration to any room.
