Three flower shapes in bright colours of yellow and green, contrasted with Prussian blue: that's what you see on this fresh, playful painting. Or is it more of a collage, a mixed media work? Either way, it exudes dynamism and playfulness. From paper I tore the stencils that formed the round chalices: I tore strips of paper and arranged them on the sheet. I intended to remove the stencils after painting but the white paper shapes greatly enriched the expression of the work. Using Prussian blue as a shade emphasised the contrast. The flowers jump off the canvas, as it were. Thus, the work radiates freedom, light, life, growth and flowering: It's spring and it's as if a fresh breeze in spring makes the flower calyxes sway. Light, life, a fresh gentle breeze in spring and blooming flowers. Nature par excellence. What more could you want?
