Zealand (NL), late March 2014. The Oosterschelde is quiet and peaceful. All day a dreamy blue glow was hanging around in the sky, wonderful. Blue as a shade of gray.
I took the picture on the peninsula Schouwen-Duiveland. Largest town on this peninsula is Zierikzee. On Schouwen-Duiveland there also is a very wide dune region. Ideal for walking and cycling, with a sumptuous and high quality bicycle route network. I'd also love to warmly / highly recommend you the village of Renesse (and dining Zeerust).
The Oosterschelde has now become a national park, the largest in the Netherlands.
