On a calm morning, I strolled along the Ostend pier, where sky and sea merge almost seamlessly. I wanted to capture the serene atmosphere, the play of light and mist, and the quiet presence of the city in the background in this image.
This image was created from a photograph I took myself, which I then converted into an oil painting via digital techniques. With brush strokes on the screen, I tried to capture the tranquillity and vastness of that one moment - a memory captured in texture and colour.
