Ole Kandelin (1920-1947) was a Finnish painter and representative of the avant-garde. Despite his short life, he left behind important works that were strongly characterised by constructivism and abstraction. His art is characterised by clear geometric forms, dynamic compositions and an experimental approach. Kandelin is considered a pioneer of modern Finnish art and had a lasting influence on subsequent generations of artists.
