About ‘Oldtimers op de boulevard van Havana,Cuba.’ by Tilly Meijer

De oude auto's (die indertijd vanuit de Verenigde Staten waren geïmporteerd) worden zo lang mogelijk rijdend gehouden. De meeste oudere auto's hebben geen Amerikaanse motor meer omdat onderdelen voor de motoren moeilijk leverbaar zijn in Cuba. De meeste auto's rijden op 1,6 liter motoren van onder andere Hyundai. Deze historische wagens maken deel uit van het beeld dat over Cuba bestaat. Naast Amerikaanse auto's uit de jaren 50 en 60 rijden er ook een aantal Lada's rond uit het tijdperk van de samenwerking met de Sovjet-Unie.

Aan het begin van de eenentwintigste eeuw is Cuba zeer afhankelijk van de inkomsten afkomstig uit het toerisme. De overheid importeert er dan ook de nodige moderne wagens die verhuurd worden aan toeristen die een rondrit wensen te maken.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
