Here you can see the remnants of Sil's old harbour located in the Wadden Sea off de Cocksdorp. On the left side of this spot is the new harbour section. the old remnants were left standing in memory of the harbour dug by hand at the time. It is now a memorial point and a water breaker of the in and outflow of sea water and the water pumped away from the island which goes back into the sea.
A nice place what is full of new life from tiny crustaceans to fish and other animals that makes the Wadden Sea so unique in the world. It is the food source of many a bird species. This old ruin of mooring posts and edging is therefore a welcoming place for many animals.
